Electroencephalography

Electroencephalography (EEG) is a non-invasive diagnostic test that measures the electrical activity of the brain. We use it to evaluate conditions such as epilepsy, sleep disorders, and brain death. We perform EEG by placing electrodes on the scalp, which detects the electrical signals produced by the brain. These signals are then recorded and displayed on a computer screen as a series of waves or traces. The EEG pattern provides information about brain activity and can help diagnose various neurological conditions. We perform EEGs for both out-patients and in-patients. The results of the EEG can help guide further medical evaluation and treatment for the underlying condition.
