Video Telemetry

Video EEG telemetry is a medical technology that combines video recording with electroencephalography (EEG) to monitor and record the electrical activity of a patient’s brain. We use it for the diagnosis and treatment of various neurological conditions, such as epilepsy, abnormal movements, sleep disorders, and brain tumors. The system consists of a video camera and an EEG machine that are connected to each other and to a computer. The video recording provides us with visual information about the patient’s behavior, while the EEG records the electrical activity of the brain. This combination of data allows us to correlate brain activity with specific behaviors, providing a more complete understanding of the patient’s condition and helping to inform treatment decisions.
