Every month, we conduct an outreach clinic at Uhai Neema Hospital to facilitate access to care by communities in the Eastern part of Nairobi. Our services during these clinics include subsidized clinical reviews, electro-encephalography and trans-cranial doppler ultrasound for children with sickle cell disease.
We facilitate access to fairer priced medicines from pharmaceutical companies. Where the preferred medicines are not available within the country, we look for ways to facilitate access to these medicines by making access applications to the Pharmacy and Poisons Board. We have had a number of success with pharmaceutical companies like Novartis, Pfizer, Sanofi and Torrent Pharmaceuticals in accessing medications for epilepsy, sickle cell anaemia and spinal muscular atrophy.
We facilitate access to subsidized care for select patients referred by clinicians across the country. We have served tens of patients through this programme. Clinicians are invited to make referrals to our subsidy program using the link:
We sponsor clinicians for training in paediatric epilepsy. We do this through the Paediatric Epilepsy Training (PET) courses facilitated by a collaboration between the British Paediatric Neurology Association and the Kenya Paediatric Association.
